Thus, the idea that a patient needs only one doctor who will solve all their problems has long been outdated, and the best results are obtained through teamwork. Surgical intervention represents only one link in a chain that includes multiple procedures, investigations, and treatments aimed at healing or improving the patient's condition. To this end, I have put together a team that includes numerous colleagues such as oncologists, radiation therapists, nutritionists, gynecologists, urologists, gastroenterologists, anesthetists, internists, radiologists, and psychologists with whom I can make the best decisions regarding the approach to various cases that I face. Moreover, in the case of complex conditions, surgical interventions are carried out in multidisciplinary teams to ensure the most appropriate treatment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #3d3b8c;\">Tumor board<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>In order to maximize the effectiveness of treatment for oncology patients and increase the rates of successful interventions, all oncology cases will be discussed with colleagues from various specialties with the aim of making the best decision regarding the appropriate therapeutic strategy for each patient.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #3d3b8c;\">Personalized Medicine<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>Last but not least, it should be emphasized that we treat patients, not diseases. Thus, each patient represents an entity in itself, composed of a sum of physiological and pathological aspects, creating a unique individual. This aspect should be the central pillar from the first moment of contact with the patient. Personalized medicine offers the opportunity to provide customized treatment, tailored to the needs and particularities of each patient. The concept of personalized medicine finds its applicability in the case of any patient but presents a special interest in the case of oncology patients. It is well-known that patients with similar diagnoses regarding the type and stage of a neoplasm present variable evolution and survival, these parameters being influenced by a series of factors specific to each individual.
